Meditation - to unwind in everyday life

Meditate - to relax physically and mentally

It is not uncommon to talk about winding down in everyday life and relaxing, both physically and mentally, but not always about how we can best do that. There are several methods one can turn to, but perhaps the most tried and recommended method is meditation
What does meditation mean? Is it the same as mindfulness? No, it is not the same thing, even though the approaches may remind one of another and both instill a sort of calm in existence. Mindfulness is more about having a kind of conscious presence and facing the thoughts that arise in the mind during the process, while meditation fundamentally involves clearing the mind of all thoughts that come up during the course of the process.

How do you meditate?

Meditating is a powerful and effective way to train your mind; however, it can feel somewhat tough to get started as a beginner, as it requires mastering the technique to achieve the right effect. Generally speaking, the word meditation A collective term for the methods intended to provide physical and mental relaxation. During meditation, we look inward and create a stronger presence in the body and in the present moment.

Normally, one meditates for anywhere between five to twenty minutes, depending on how experienced one is, which means that several hours of meditation are not required to experience the positive effects.

When performing it, it helps to place oneself in a calm and serene environment that is quiet and relaxing. After that, one can apply the basic techniques of meditation - that is, focusing on one's breath to create more presence in the body. Meditating is especially powerful when one feels that stress is creeping closer, for example during a workday when an important meeting is approaching. Some choose to meditate in the evening to create peace before bedtime and thereby optimize their sleep and recovery.

It is very helpful to play meditative music, close your eyes, and then focus on breathing in and out. The purpose is to gradually feel a relaxing sensation spreading throughout the body and eventually reach a form of trance. It is completely normal for troubling thoughts to arise during meditation; these should be tried to be dismissed - as the main goal is for the thoughts and mind to be blank, unlike mindfulness.
